Whatsapp users may soon have the privilege to recall WhatsApp messages, the feature that the messaging app users wanted for long. But, you won’t be able to recall old messages, the feature will give you a five-minute window to revoke messages that are sent by mistake.

The next time you send a personal message intended for your friend mistakenly to someone other in your contacts on WhatsApp, you need not worry because you can recall that message within a five-minute window. But if you missed the timeline, you won’t be able to recall that misdirected message.
The news has been shared by a fan sit WABetainfo that tests the new WhatsApp features before they are available for the general public. As per the website, the popular messaging app will soon launch the ‘Recall’ feature. The same feature will be available in the future ‘2.17.30+’ release of the messaging app. With the new feature, the users will be able to recall texts, pictures, videos, any documents, GIFs or any status replies within a 5-minute window.
Whatsapp currently has 1.2 Billion monthly active users out of which 200 million monthly active users are based in India. The ‘Recall’ feature is one of the much-awaited features of the messaging app after the recent feature of ‘Status’ that failed to create impact in the masses.
